High-Tech Women in Science and Technology 2021

First hybrid edition was a great success

29.11.2021

The High-Tech Women conference featured talks by internationally renowned female speakers from all over the world to be a platform for inspiring successful women in tech to spread their professional achievements and ideas. By presenting their career paths – from Cybersecurity to Artificial Intelligence – and sharing their experience, the event aims to empower young talents to reach their goals and have their careers in tech.

On November 18, the second High-Tech Women (HTW) event took place as a fully hybrid event in Darmstadt, Germany with both online and offline speakers and attendees.

The day was opened by Lejla Batina, Nele Mentens and Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi who organized HTW together for the second year in a row, despite having to move the event from March to November in 2021 due to the Corona pandemic. The topics of the talks ranged from post-quantum cryptography, machine learning and AI to hardware and IoT security. A panel discussion focused on „Research, Innovation and Start-ups“. You can find the complete agenda with all talks on the HTW website.

HTW 2021 was supported by CROSSING, e.g. by funding travel grants for female students who otherwise could not have attended the event.
