Consulting

We believe that knowledge transfer is a two-way street and working together with politics and public institutions is a great opportunity on both sides to gain new perspectives.

One important driving force behind academic research is impacting people’s lives for the better. Many of our CYSEC-PIs therefor volunteer in academic societies to offer their expertise in cybersecurity to politicians and members of government, and, by that, make scientific knowledge available for the benefit of society.

Participation in committees

CYSEC investigators offer their expertise in cybersecurity as active members of, for example, the following organizations:

  • German Academy of Sciences and Literature
  • Council of the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society
  • German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech)
  • Ethics and Technology Council of Digitalstadt Darmstadt
  • German Society for Computer Science (GI)
  • German Society for Science and Technology Research (GWTF)
  • IT commission of the German Research Foundation (DFG)
  • German National Academy of Sciences (Leopoldina)
  • Research Council of the German Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA)
