Prof. Peter Buxmann (CYSEC PI and Head of the Information Systems Group) and his team have been cooperating with Prof. Tamara Dinev who is a professor and chair of the Department of Information Technology and Operations Management at the Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, USA. Prof. Dinev is one of the Information Systems community's most influential scientists in the field of information privacy. Prof. Buxmann’s and Prof. Dinev’s research cooperation aims to increase knowledge about the most pressing topics of the field. For instance, Prof. Buxmann and Prof. Dinev have jointly hosted the Privacy and Security Track of the 2015 European Conference on Information Systems to present the most recent and significant research on information privacy. In their most current research project, the partners investigate the role of cognitive biases for Internet users' privacy-related beliefs and behaviors.
