Prof. Dr. Melanie Volkamer is Associated Principal Investigator at CYSEC

Prof. Dr. Melanie Volkamer holds a permanent position as full Professor for Usable Privacy and Security at Karlstad University since April 1. She is part of the Research Profile PriSec which focuses on privacy-enhancing technologies and network security. Having done research on the security evaluation of electronic voting, she intends to support Swedish authorities in finding adequate solutions for referendums.

Prof. Dr. Melanie Volkamer has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science of TU Darmstadt since February 2012 where she headed the research group SECUSO – Security, Usability and Society. She stays affiliated in part time with TU Darmstadt and the SECUSO research group will remain mainly as it is. Prof. Dr. Volkamer will be continuing her work within CYSEC as an Associated Principal Investigator.
