Four CYSEC master and bachelor students nominated for CAST IT security prize

The presentations of the finalists will be on November 29, 2018 in Darmstadt.

Among the finalists of the annual CAST IT security prize are

  • Daniel Günther with his Bachelor thesis “Valiant’s Universal Circuit – Towards a Modular Construction and Implementation” supervised by Ágnes Kiss and Prof. Thomas Schneider (ENCRYPTO group) in the context of CYSEC. The results of his thesis were published at ASIACRYPT 2017, a major conference in applied cryptography.
  • Kristiyan Dimitrov with his master thesis “Exploring Deep Multi-biometric Fusion”, supervised by Prof. Arjan Kuijper (TU Darmstadt / Fraunhofer IGD)
  • Dennis Mantz with his master thesis “InternalBlue – A Bluetooth Experimentation Framework Based on Mobile Device Reverse Engineering” supervised by the SEEMOO group of Prof. Matthias Hollick
  • Aidmar Wainakh with his master thesis “On the Analysis Generation of Synthetic Attacks for Intrusion Detection Systems” supervised by the Telecooperation group of Prof. Max Mühlhäuser
