The new book “The Theory of Hash Functions and Random Oracles” by Arno Mittelbach and Marc Fischlin has been published with Springer. On almost 800 pages the authors cover the constructions, applications, and security properties of hash functions, ranging from practical hash functions like SHA-2 and SHA-3 to more theoretical constructs such as random oracles.
