CROSSING-PI Prof. Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi in various Security Sessions at DAC

Hack@DAC is a hardware-security competition for students and industry experts. This year’s competition focused on the trustworthiness of System-on-Chips (SoCs). Sadeghi and his team also organized and participated in several workshops.

• Prof. Sadeghi co-organized the Hack@DAC 2018 Hardware Security Contest and the corresponding sessions
• • „Techniques for Finding Security Vulnerabilities in an SoC“ which presented a set of novel approaches for discovering security vulnerabilities in SoC designs
  • „Hack Me If You Can: Hands-on IoT Hacking“ where he – together with researchers Markus Miettinen and Richard Mitev – presented the hacking session on fitness trackers
• Shaza Zeitouni presented the paper „It’s Hammer Time: How to Attack (Rowhammer-Based) DRAM-PUFs“ (by Shaza Zeitouni, David Gens, Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi) in the session „From Droplets to Bits: Security for the Physical World“
• Markus Miettinen presented the paper „Revisiting Context-Based Authentication in IoT“ (by Markus Miettinen, Thien Duc Nguyen, N. Asokan, Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi) in the session „The Internet of Threats“
• Prof. Sadeghi co-organized the session „Security for IoT Worlds: Internet of Things or Internet of Threats“ and co-authored the paper „Reconciling Remote Attestation and Safety-Critical Operation of Simple IoT Devices“ presented by Gene Tsudik
