Cooperation with Israel Institute of Technology
CYSEC and Technion will work closely together in the field of IT security
TU Darmstadt and the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion)signed a partnership agreements. The first focus points in the collaboration between the two universities are IT security and start-up management. Prof. Dr. Jürgen Rödel, Vice President Research, and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mira Mezini, Vice President for Knowledge and Technology Transfer and CYSEC member, travelled to Isreal in November 2015 to sign the Memorandum of Understanding. 2015 is also a symbolic year to bring this cooperation to life, the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Germany and Israel.
CYSEC and the Center for IT security at Technion will establish a close collaboration between the two institutes. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mira Mezini said: „Together with the Department of Computer Science of TU Darmstadt we will offer a Dual PhD Degree. Further we will expand the technical cooperation between the profile area CYSEC and the local center for IT security.“ Dual PhD students will be supervised by professors from both institutes.
