Award-winning master thesis of CYSEC researcher

CYSEC researcher Tommaso Frassetto won the Italian „Innovare la sicurezza delle informazioni“ (Innovation in Information Security) award for his master thesis „selfrando: Practical Load-Time Randomization against Code-Reuse Attacks“. selfrando strengthens the Tor Browser against attempts to hack and de-anonymize Tor users.

In November 2016, his master thesis also won the second place at the „Promotion Prize IT Security“ (Förderpreis IT-Sicherheit) by CAST e.V.
