The paper “Perils of Zero-Interaction Security in the Internet of Things” by Mikhail Fomichev (SEEMOO Lab), Max Maass (SEEMOO Lab), Lars Almon (SEEMOO Lab), Alejandro Molina (Machine Learning Group) and CYSEC-PI Prof. Matthias Hollick (SEEMOO Lab) received the “Distinguished Paper Award” of the Proceedings of the ACM on Interactive, Mobile, Wearable and Ubiquitous Technologies (IMWUT). The award honors the best papers published in the journal during the past year and was recently presented at the UbiComp 2020 conference.

At the conference, the jury described the article as “an excellent paper that replicates and compares prior work in the area of zero-interaction security, with a thorough open-data and open source approach”.

The 2020 ACM International Joint Conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing (UbiComp 2020) was held online from September 12 – 17, 2020. UbiComp is an A* conference in the field of ubiquitous computing.
